Mostly OK, but a few issues

Pros:
I love how quiet this dishwasher is. That is very important to us since we have an open floor plan so any sound easily travels into other rooms.
Cons:
They tell you to use the mobile app to get this thing connected to your network. That doesn't work for me. It will fail if you cannot connect it to the same wifi SSID that your phone is connected to. I have the same SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on my router. That is the way it is designed to work. My phone connect to 5GHz and the appliance cannot do that so it freaks out and tells me that it this SSID cannot be used, even though it could be. On the range and microwave, I was able to setup this SSID by going through the LCD panel, but not through the app. I still don't have my dishwasher connected because there is no LCD on that so I haven't figured out how to work out with this mobile app design flaw.
It seems to leave our silverware dirty. However, we are experimenting with different ways to place the tray as well as maybe some alternate ways to arrange the silverware. I am not sure if we will overcome this issue, but maybe. I guess what bothers me is that, in any of our past dishwashers, (and much less expensive), we never had to try to be too careful about how we placed the sliverware into the tray. Certainly, there could always be an issue if something was nested together. However, that is not the case here.
I am not very happy with Whirlpool as a company either. We bought a full set that matched. We have the ones that have are the ones with the contemporary handles. Our fridge was delayed for a long time. That was aggravating enough. Now we are being told that it is discontinued. I don't really understand that since it was a new model for 2018. I guess that means they decided not to make it even though I was able to order it last summer. The even bigger issue is they don't have a fridge with the same connected features. The connected features aren't as big of a deal as much as they don't even have a model with the same handle designs. When I call customer service, they say that they can't help me because they only deal with issues after you have received your appliance and there is nobody else in the company that they can send me to that could help me. I am SOL after spending a ton of money on a four appliance matching set.
I have had a lot of issues with the range and microwave that I have along with this. Whirlpool doesn't seem to be able to handle anything hi-tech. This was my first experience. I can't say if their lower tech models might be OK.
